Reversal of service before self

MEET PUBLIC AS PUBLIC MEETS ELECTORAL CANDIDATES DURING ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Election campaign is in full swing. Defying high heat (up to 46oC ) campaign is to cover a big area of constituencies located at far flung places in the country.

Aviation industries estimates at least sixty or more charted helicopters/Jets engaged in ferrying candidates of various political parties to their desired places.

Charted helicopters are for Mrs Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and other congress political leaders. BJP too has engaged charted helicopter for Mr L.K.Advani and other member apart from Lalu Yadav, Sharad Yadav, Sharad Pawar and more.

Charted helicopter range from 5-10 seater capacity and 10 seater helicopter almost cost 1 lakh per hour whereas 4 seater cost 75 thousand / hour.

The rich parties having abundance of funds have better chances of penetrating in the public, pull more crowd towards them and obviously have better chances of winning election and vice-versa.

It is up to election committee to access and provide uniform opportunity to other parties who are humble and regional or national.

Are we not reminded of abundant party funds, their sources and how shall parties after winning election are to compensate to donors?

Shall we call this campaign for free and fair election?

Can we expect a normal honest humble candidate to win and be a part of the government in power?

Can comfort loving political candidates bring an honest hard working government to sort out national problems like poverty, Law and order, unemployment, agricultural growth, socio-economic growth, village uplift, education and medical facilities and many more like this?

If this trend of excessive pomp and show, costly visit by air to pull the huge crowd, buying votes of public by cash or kind continue in our election campaign, the scope of the befitting government in power shall be adversely affected.

“Just do not preach but practice honesty and place service before self “

I am waiting for that election campaign where normal life is not disturbed and a humble honest candidate with potential to fight the election by minimum expenditure incurred during his/her election campaign.

Awards being hoodwinked

National award ceremony hoodwinked

On Tuesday 14th April 2009 was the national award giving ceremony by President of India when Mahender Singh Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh both Padamshri awardees conspicuously absented them selves and did not receive their awards. There seems to be successive flow of uncivilized omissions or act of crime like throwing shoes, returning medals and absenting from award ceremony at national level.

It is high time that nation should ponder for the reasons and workout solution for the same.

Incase of ibid cricketers appears to be intentional with out assigning any reason. It is pertinent to elicit whether proper protocol was followed while invitation and due conformation was obtained by the invites. Since this act of boycotting has been caused by cricketers it requires in-depth enquiry which shall be the basis of taking any remedial measures.

The possible reasons could be by individual fault or prejudice, organisational laps or doubtful selection.

The game of cricket in India draws keen attention by public so much that harsh or hard tackling would be detrimental to public pleasure or moral. Facts brought out by enquiry to be made public and realisation of the guilt be made by guilty or defaulter. This issue may not require any administrative or judicial punishment but realisation by defaulters be made.

“ This will solve the problem and protect the sanctity of such national awards without jeopardising the interest of cricket lovers.”

Vote for perfect Government

This Five year election is almost knocking your door. Parties are polarising, so called pre-election alliance. After election, a second round of polarisation or alliance will take place to prove majority in order to form the government.

Secular, Non- Secular and independent candidates will polarise after winning in election. Congress with MPA, BJP with NDA and third front mainly non-secular union is likely as pronounced by Mulayam, Lalu and Paswan may further unite with like minded parties to gain the entry into power. As all three names mentioned above are strongly wishing to become PM. Seeing the political scenario there will leave no stone unturned to avail the opportunity to gain the majority or win the number game.

Voters primarily rural and urban elite or humble may caste their votes according to their wisdom. However voters from UP and Bihar will primarily caste their votes on caste basis. Election commission is reacting to all complaints where code of conduct laid down by election commission. Defaulters are being keenly observed and punished according to the seriousness of offence.

Manifestoes performances of the party and candidates respectively are brought to the notice of public as to guide them to caste their votes exercising their wisdom. Atleast it is being aimed! It appears that manifestoes of the parties or performance of candidates will be exercising in futility for caste ridden states like UP and Bihar.

In this situation I would like to suggest the following to the Indian public.

ü Judge the candidate on their merits and demerits without killing conscious.

ü Scrutinise wealth and assists disclose by the candidates and gauge their honesty.

ü Past performances analysis should not be judged only by claims put across by party or candidates instead it should be analysed on the basis of public satisfaction and personal knowledge if their any in respect of roads, traffic, security, sanitation, education, law and order and Job creations.

Remember you get government you deserve. Keep in mind that your personal interest should come next to public interest. VOTE YOU MUST AND VOTE WISELY.

Sikh, Journalist or Jarnail - What ?

Jarnail – A Journalist or Communal ?

Jarnail furls his shoe on Home Minister in conference held on April 7, 2009 on the issue of Tytler given clean chit by CBI.
Incident of furling a shoe on Home Minister by a Sikh journalist in a press conference on 7/4/09 when Mr Chidambaram, HM was discussing to Terrorism. Mr. Jarnail Singh with due permission had asked HM whether decision of CBI to give clean chit to Mr. Jagdish Tytler was under some pressure by Government. The answer given by Mr. Chidambaram that CBI is an autonomous body did not convince Jarnail Singh a reporter from Danik Jagran. Perhaps it was fixed in the mind of Jarnail Singh that Tytler was just let off by CBI under governments pressure without being examining the case thoroughly especially just before election to suit Tytler.

A very witty question was asked by another interviewing journalist of repute that reporter under reference was placing himself as journalist first or a member of Sikh community first. The reporter replied he was representing as a journalist first. The question then arises why he committed this criminal act?

The journalist posed to be apologetic to this act and put the blame on his emotional outbreak. Justifying it, Jarnail represented Sikh community first and reporter later.

The journalist Jarnail Singh has been pardoned by the Home Minister and Congress party, though this criminal act has been against the government as HM was holding this meeting on behalf of government.

Views by eminent Journalist, Lawyer, Politician in favour and against this unpleasent, criminal act has been viewed by Indian public on various channels of TV.

In my opinion judiciary action is needed against Jarnail Singh and not merely pardoned as this may result in following –

Some more such incidents may occur in future.
Incident if not fully investigated, there are chances of missing its deep root.
Danger of eruption of communal violence in the country.
Misuse of journalism as profession

The whole nation is watching with curiosity the outcome of 1984 Sikh riot and awaiting impartial judgment.
